PERFORMAING ARTS CENTER SORLANDET, KRISTIANSAND, NORWAY, 2004
This harbour on the southernmost tip of Norway was notable for the export of timber to England used for shipbuilding during the 18th Century.
The shape of the great hall and particularly it's roof structure is reminscent of the framing of ships hulls. The screens of the east facing walls evoke the square rigged masts.
