Brooklyn Hospital Renal Dialysis Unit

The adaptive reuse of an industrial warehouse transformed an aging commercial building into a contemporary outpatient dialysis center serving the surrounding community. The project involved complete interior reconstruction, building rehabilitation, new mechanical systems, code upgrades, and carefully planned patient, staff, and public spaces organized around naturally daylit treatment areas. Developed as the first phase of a broader medical redevelopment, the project demonstrates how thoughtful architectural planning can successfully repurpose existing buildings for specialized healthcare use.
